Just wondering if anyone has 22's on their Murano's?

Its the wife's truck, so 22's are the MAX she wants.. but nothing smaller. :)

Here's the only pictures that I know of. It's as close as I think we're gonna get:

Get them mounted yet?

Last year, I took this picture of my Murano with 22 inch wheels and 35 series tires. This wheel (with six lugs) was not installed, it was just next to the wheel well. There was a little photoshop done to "erase" my wheels and to fill in the disc brake.

Enjoy.

Hopefully soon.. :) they were back ordered.. :(

Funny, my 20"ers dont' look big, and the 22"ers won't look huge either. Mo sure does have big fender wells!
mattsmurano
I have 295/45R20 Falken tires too.

Chris did you ever get the 22's on your Murano?
haddock
Was planning to wait until after they showed up and I got them installed before I made the post... but I'm getting too excited...

Wheels should arrive tomorrow so hopefully I can get them on this weekend and will post pictures... worst case they'll arrive Monday, so I should have them on within a couple of days after...

Only decision left at this point is exactly which size tire I'll put on... right now I'm bouncing between a 265/40-R22 and a 285/35-R22. Any thoughts on either appreciated...

get them, Nitto NT555 - 285/35/22. I loved mine.

side note, *** nissian, we been waiting as of today, 11 weeks for our Murano!! :3:

BTW - 22's are Daat 6 spokes with a nice dish. :D

Well the good news is that as of yesterday, there's a new $1500 rebate on the Mo. BTW, do you go by the username Krix.... something or other on NLOC or F150online?

Thats great news then!! They said "Week of Aug 7th" the MO will be in... although, we been hearing that in, "June 7th," then "July 7th," etc...

Yes, i post on a few Ford truck sites. :2:

Well... a shipping delay on the rims and a stock mixup on the tires caused a bit of a delay... but I finally got my new 22's mounted up...

Wheels are Zinik Z9's (Sabini) and the tires are Nitto 555's (285/35/22)...

Taste is a subjective thing... but I for one an super happy with how these turned out... :D

One more pic...
ekaxel
Do they ride rough (or doesn't that matter if they look "cool")?
haddock
Only have about 75 miles on the new setup so far... but like the ride a lot... has really been pretty smooth... tho I do notice at slower speeds the new tires grab like nobody's business... lot more grip than I'd noticed with the stock tires (which I only rode for 750 miles)... technically I guess the improved traction is a good thing...
Chris03HD
Thats how a MO should look!

Good choice on the Nitto's!
hfelknor
Look good.

But they stick out too far, IMO.

all i can say is DAAAAMMNN... definately nice choice in rims.. 22s def look like the way to go on the MO.. mind telling us where you got the rims? or how much it ran you? if not thats ok.. as for hfelknor's comment, maybe you can get a shot of how much it actually sticks out? doesnt look to bad from how i see it.. anyway, congrats on the new " shoes "

Wheels look great Haddock. Wow 22's still dont even look like they fill up the Murano's wheel wells. I was looking to get 22's on my Mo too. I've only had mine for about three weeks now. Hey I am in the Bay area also, maybe we could set up a meeting. I'd like to see how your 22's look in person. I just had an amp and two 12" subs installed in mine. Probably am gonna have alarm installed this week.
haddock
So... I went with a tire on the 22s that keep close to the dimensions of the oem setup so I wouldn't affect the speedometer and such too much...

If I'd wanted to fill up the well a bit more, I think I could have gone with a slightly higher profile tire... but I really think that if you don't care about oem dimensions, there is room to fit 24s (if you could find them) and some low profile tires...

Ended up getting the rims from wheelstudio.com... looked around a bit at other sites including bigwheels.net and wheelstudio.com had the best overall price...

As for the wheels/tires sticking out... I think actually IMO that 285s are the ideal tire for the Murano... combined with the 35 offset of my rims, the tires line up almost exactly with the wheel well flares... so in person I think it looks premo...

Pics might not do it justice, but I'll try to post a couple that show the width of the oem setup vs what I have now...
haddock
the oem profile...

the new profile...

damn...i'm jealous.........i just put 20's on mine, didnt know you could fit 22's or that they even made 22's for the MO.
jaycen29
Ok haddock that is why it still looks like it doesnt fill it up. So is there no way to adjust odometer/speedometer for bigger tire size?
KSmurano
haddock - I really like them! Good job & very
I don't see any offset problem at all?
Chris03HD
The profile is perfect.... to those wanting to "fill the gap",... lower it!!!

There are a few companies that have drop kits for MOs already... :D

Hey Haddock,

I was just looking at some 22's over the weekend...I am very interested in getting a set for my MO....how is the ride with them? Is it rougher than with the stock MO wheels and tires?
haddock
Not rough at all... really comfortable ride actually... little firm at slow speeds (< 10 miles an hour) so speed bumps and such are jolting, but nothing out of the ordinary...

Not sure I can really compare to the stock ride because I really only put about 750 miles on that setup before swapping rims so I was just getting used to the Murano in general and not aware of the subtleties...

Pretty much would encourage anyone thinking about 22's to just go ahead and get 'em... you'll be happy...
boostedOKC
Do you get any poping noises? I mounted 20's and I get a pop from the right hand side.
OsCaR
I think the wheels on the FX 45 would look nice on the Murano what do you think? Murano's should've came with 20's like the FX. Would the FX 45 wheels fit on the Murano? I like the FX 45 with the 8 spoke not the FX 35 which has 7.
mattsmurano
The FX and Murano have the same wheel fitment.
They'll fit perfectly...
OsCaR
That's cool maybe i'll try that I know they're still factory but they look nice to me. Any idea as to the price of them?
nissanlove
the other day i saw a murano on 20's lowered about 2 inches. i was like whoa cools rims. wait a second, that m-o is low...sweeeet
GripperDon
Has anyone installed the lowering springs, How is the ride, What about the alignment, etc.
