| so the "awd" is controlled by a computer in the MO rite? anyway to convert the drivetrain to awd? TRUE AWD not that bs smartdrive crap? like wrx awd.. that would be sexie.. im interested in doing a conversion but i still don't understand how the system works.. how godly would that be.. 6spd MT with AWD and an LSD.. :eek: |

- the need to recalibrate the car computer to adjust to completely different awd system (you want LSD in the center and rear locking right?)
- the price of the effort, parts and labor, maybe around 15%-20% of what your murano is worth. |

Why would you want full time AWD? It uses more fuel and will have negligible effect on your handling unless you are really taking it crazy out there.
I am very happy with the pseudo AWD system the Murano has. The automatic AWD has become a standard in most crossovers nowadays.
For your info if you want a more performance oriented AWD, the FX has a more appropriate system relative to the Murano - default RWD but AWD is switched on during every acceleration from stop and turned off if slippage is not detected. |
