I started getting a "chirping" noise from the rear of the Murano over large bumps and uneven pavement. I called the local Nissan dealer and they said the service would not be covered under warranty. Over the phone, the rep said an early estimate would be about $130.
I've had the Murano since May 2003 and it has 25,000 miles on it. Shouldn't this problem be covered under warranty?
I checked the warranty book, but didn't get a definitive answer. |

If you are within the warranty period, EVERYTHING from bumper to bumper is covered under warranty.
A caveat to this is that if the dealer discovers that a wear item (such as brake pads) are causing the noise, they can charge you for looking at the car. Thats the terrible Nissan dealer for ya. |
