| If I break my ignition key, will a non transponder key work if the transponder portion of the broken key is on the key ring in close proximity to the ignition switch? |

| Yes I believe it will work - this is what the alarm installers do when they put in a remote start - permanently mount the key somewhere out of sight in the car so the car can start. |
