I decided to start a new thread about this project, it is actually a continuation from a thread that we kind of got off topic from so if you want to see the history behind this project go here:

OK guys well I did some fine tuning of the logo tonite and now I need your guys input. There are now two different versions of the logo. If you look you will see the slight difference in the design of the MO. One showing the crease in the door panel and one without. So I need to know which one you guys like better. I have also done a bunch of other designs... I can basically put whichever version of the MO into whatever design we like. So I'll be waiting for your opinions.
I need two questions answered:
1. Which design of the MO do you like? The one with out the crease in the door or the one with.
2. Which overall design do you like.

Hey SnowMO i messed around and tried to make a custom badge.
Obviously what you see in grey would be chrome and the black would be black. I could make any changes you wanted.

1. finalize the designs (2 or 3 maybe).
Then start a new thread for forum members to poll which design will be the winner. (Use the forum POLLS)
This is also good for iinitial market research to see how many forum members are interested and hence we can estimate the cost of this decals. More order quantity means cheaper right? :)
2. Ask your local graphic design shop.
Inquire on the minimum order quantity and the price to produce the winnning design (as pointed in #1)
Or I have a regulargraphic design shop affiliated to my company. They prints tshirt, brochure, business card, emblem, company phamlet/logo, banner etc.I dont mind to help you to ask their price also. pm me.
Or you can contact admin/kris and i bet he knows someone in his area too.
3. Should contact admin/kris to make the winning desin\gn as the official nissanmurano.org decals. Then u and him can organize a group buy/link from nissanmurano webpage for ppl to buy online.
4. After there are enough forum member who paid for the stickers to satisfy the minimum quantity order, then place the order with the graphic design shop. Hence, all decals will be pre-paid.
If there are not enought interest, kris can refund the money (via paypal)
5. when u or kris place the order, put a bit more than the minimum quantitiy order, as buffer.
Future forum members can still buy the decals and you still have some as inventory left.
Of course, it is not guaranteed and for those who don't purchase in this first group buy, may face backorders.

| I like design C, but I don't really want "driven by style" on it - too flashy for me. For me, a subtle window decal is good enough. |

Absolutely awesome. I like A1 a lot. If it was a little smaller iwould gladly debadge th MO's ba-donk-a-donk and slap one of those bad boys on there. Anyone else interested? Sweet! Is this your occupation or is this just a hobby? :29: |

Well I work in the graphic industry, but I do more just ad layout...dont get to design and be creative as much a I'd like too. I've done some other stuff like T-shirt designs, logos for websites and so on for friends.
So you like Badge A1? I guess you want a mostly chrome one then huh, I was thinkin of maybe going with the more black one. As far as size we can make it whatever size we want. The Nissan badge on the back is about 4" tall, but I dont know if that would just look too big for the custom one. what do you think? I'm also a bit concerned about causing paint damage when debadging and being able to get all the adhesive off. I was thinking of maybe adding a small badge on the sides near the wheel wells like you see on some cars. Of course I'd have to get them to make 2 badges with mirror images so the MO art is facing forward on both sides. I was messing around again last night and added some copy like "Limited Edition" underneath the badge to see what it would look like. I'll post em tonight so you can see them. Think about what size you think the emblem should be and let me know. |

| how about just "nissanmurano.org" in white lower case letters in the form of a decal that extends all the way across the rear window, either along the top or the bottom? or a license plate frame? I'd certainly get in on a group buy of those with white lettering along the bottom. |

| I would want to put my sticker on one of the rear quarter windows, on the outside. The tint prevents the sticker from being put on the inside. |

| More MO custom designs... I get really bored at work. :24: I have no idea what SE and SL stand for so I made something up. :D Anyone know what it really stands for? |

Sure does look like you were having fun!
SE stands for Sport Edition, if you follow other Nissans, but I have no idea what SL is for!
I do know, that like the last gen Maxima, the SE had slightly stiffer suspension.
Right now all kinds of really silly things are popping into my mind, so I really hope someone knows what SL stands for, so I can stop this...:p |

However I will add one thing - please no "powered by nissan" logos! Its a nissan, I think everyone knows its also "powered by nissan".....well except when the alternator goes....then its not powered by anything! :D |

I agree. I think that this design should be made badge sized to replace that awful Nissan logo in the middle of the hatch. I would debadge the entire hatch and just use this if it were available.

| Oh yeah the nissanmurano.org designs are still alive for the decals, not sure if there is a demand for them though. I was just messing around with these because me and SnowMo were thinking of getting custom badges made. But any of these designs could be used for decals also, I could just change the text to nissanmurano.org. Basically we can mix and match, I'm just throwin ideas out there. If people want them and we can all come to some sort of agreement of what we want, either I or maybe Admin will look into getting it made. Not sure of the cost, I think you usually have to buy a minimum order, and I dont know if I would be able to get enough people to buy them to recoup what I'd have to put out for them. Don't want to be stuck with a box full of decals. :) What would people be willing to pay for a decal? Are there any others out there interested in custom badges? |

| I would be willing to pay for a decal. I like your designs and definitely would like it to be a group thing. That way if you come across another Murano with the decal, you would know that the owner is a member of this forum. |

With not many people knowing about this, I am sure any order will produce more decals than we can use. We should therefore figure out cost per person rather than cost per item. To do that, let's just pick a design, contact a shop and find out the minimum order required and full cost, including shipping, tax, etc. . Then let's find out how many people are interested to buy now and are willing to pay in advance. That would determine the number of decals and total cost per person.
Assuming cost per person is reasonable, everyone agrees to the cost and everyone pays in advance, it is likely that each member will have more decals than they can use. To get around that, I for one will be willing to take a few of my decals for my car and donate the rest to nissanmurano.org to be used to attract more members and cash contributers. |

| I agree with zebelkhan and I would be willing to pay in advance for the decals. If we Pay in advance once we determine the amount for something like a box of 50 we could split the cost, take a few for ourselves and provide Admin with the rest to sell as a cost reducer for running this site. |

great work jaycen! I've been just sitting back and following things for now. I really like your designs and will definitely buy the final product. I'm sure about size at this point. I think that it should be small enough to fit in the rear quarter window or at a lower corner of the rear window. I'm not sure that I'd place it on the bumper or somewhere on the rear hatch, but you never know. I'm interested in hearing other points of view and opinions.

I think A1 is pretty cool. It still shows everyone what kind of car it is, but also adds some flavor. I would gladly debadge the rear of my car and just have this one on. I think if we could make it a little smaller than the photoshop that you did then we would be in business.

It wont be so economical for the person who placed the order.
Remember that you have minimum quantity to order.
Meaning: perhaps you need to order in in batch 10.
So copper murano is not as common as super black nor the silvers. This will make the odering of copper decals slightly more "complicated". :) |
