I've thought of it.
Kinda a downer to even consider such a thing, but........
Obviously there are several parts to an alternator incident.
Just having one helps when you get the vehicle to the dealer.
But there could sure be a lot of bad stuff before (and after) you get the thing to the dealer.
Has anybody even asked if they will install an alternator that you supply, under warranty?
You guys gonna do it?

Sigh. I am really considering it. Seems an awful lot of dealers, especially in Boondock Montana (And where else wpould I break down?) do not stock the thing at all............... |

If you come through Calgary on the way to the coast and your alternator fails. My Dealer Staduim Nissan always has one on stock and can get you going in short order.
There is a pub next door and we could meet for a beer.:7: |

Maybe we could meet anyway, but when I do finally get around to this, I will be carrying an alternator with me, just in case I'm stuck where there isn't one in stock. |

Either that, or carry a battery charger and cord, and always go to motels where you can park in front and run the cord in....
Actually, some parts of Canada have outlets for Murano Battery Chargers and block heaters for other cars.... |

let say ur current alternator fails, will yhe cost of purchasing your spare be refunded by the nissan dealer?
If you have the alternator replace at nissan dealer, NNA will be the one who cover the cost of parts and labor. |
