Copper Murano eastbound on the 401 near Kingston at about 3pm Thursday the 14th.

I was trying to keep up with you when I got a speeding ticket. The officer was in an unmarked blue Impala with dark tinted windows. He was originally pacing you, but I got in front of him before the construction closed the left lane, so he pulled me over.

145km/h in a 100km/h, $335 and 4 points. Ouch.

:banghead: :D

Sounds like he got you as you were slowing down....

Wow! I better watch my speed... It's so easy to find yourself above 160 kph!

Ahhh well the price of having a quick SUV! I learned my lesson early on as well when I got a speeding ticket in the Murano as well.

A Valentine 1 is a great traveling companion (except in Canada).

I second that....if it saves you only once, its already proven itself and paid itsel off...

But it won't do squat as you fly by an unmarked pacing Impala......

Eyes and brain are the best detector.

I have had fun on the highway with a 10.5 GHz Gunnplexer and a 9 volt battery. Little short bursts and watch how many people brake for no apparent reason... It can be quite amusing on a long drive.:22:

Eyes and brain are what I use. Besides, a lot of police use laser here now anyway.

Valentine 1 does LASER as do Laser jammers. :D

If you read what is said everywhere and even on Valentine's web site, you understand that if you catch a deflected laser signal with your detector, it is simply because you were very lucky. The chances that a faint laser signal may be deflected to your detector by a vehicle in front of you are as good as having a snowless winter here.

And with a laser gun, if you're aimed at, you're dead meat as your detector will only confirm the fact that there is a Christmas tree on wheels on your tail.

This is why there was no new development in the cat and mouse game of detection and counter-detection for quite a few years now.

But I agree that the Val will give you the biggest edge among all of them even if it's almost worthless against laser.

BTW, nothing can jam a laser gun. If you believe this, PM me and I will sell you a miracle diet. You would have to go stealth and drive a very ugly car using angles and the special paint from a stealth bomber in order to be able to defeat a laser gun aimed at you.

The best way to speed and avoid a ticket is still to follow a speeder from 1/4th mile behind and check his tailights. I have done this for 8 years now without a speeding ticket.

Paint your entire Murano flat black and make sure you never wax it and you'll have better chances with a laser... But even then, he can still get you! You just have to be closer.
