The other morning, while I was tweeking the settings on my newly installed JL Audio 300/4 amp, I had the sound up really loud (22 on the volume), and I noticed that the fuse in each of my crossovers (MB Quart RCE 216s, came w/ crossovers) where glowing red like a toaster oven element would. I turned the volume down, and it stopped.
Should that be happening? Was the fuse operating as designed? Too much power, it gets hot, blows, and protects the speaker/tweeter?
