I am planning to make a road trip from Atlanta to Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Zion Canyon, Bryce Canyon and whatever IS ALONG THE WAY. Some times in May 2005. I am guest in this great country (though permanent one) and intend to see as much as I can. I know MO owners live along the intended route so any suggestions of “must see” items are more than welcomed!
Thanks in advance….I promise to “photo document” the trip…….. |

| See the beautiful Red rocks of Sedona and eat at Rene's. Google has a lot. PS as you leave Zion on the way to St. George you can pass "Hurracine Mesa" where we tested the "Bunker Busters" and the Supersonic ejection seats. There is a small sign and you can seel the Mesa where the multiple mile long Test Rail Track is. If you are way lucky you might see the rockets fire as the propulsion system boosts the test vehicle down the track, It's quite a sight to contrast with all the Nature that abounds around. I will PM you a phone number if the schedule has anything of intrest going on in May. |

Merry Christmas!
Just outside of Las Vegas, Hoover Dam is a great ~1/2 day excursion from Las Vegas and something you'll not forget.
(Do the Hoover Dam Dicscovery tour for <$20, it's a steal .) |

| Planning a trip out west myself in late May or early June from western NY. Hitting Rapid City to go to Mt. Rushmore, and the Minuteman national Historical Monument (used to work in the missle fields in Montana, curious to see what they did for the tour...), 4 or 5 days in Yellowstone, couple of days in Glacier, then all over Utah (Bryce, Canyonlands, Arches, etc.). Planning on camping most of the time. Plus it's an excuse to buy some new toys for the Mo: a Thule rack and cargo box (prefer the Yakima, but Sears sells a cargo box made by Thule for half the price), and Sirius radio for the trip, should be a good time.... I'll be posting pics on here afterwards.... |
