I agree, a lot more women talk to me with the Murano, than the Maxima...
I bet a Ferarri is even better! |

This headline of the article reads "Women Speak" ..... how true.
Come to think of it my wife chose all three of our vehicles.
Wait a minute .... she chose them, she and my girls drive them .... I paid for them ... what is up with that :2: |

We were talking to the salesman when we bought the Murano and he was saying how women control the what vehicle is purchased. I certainly agree to an extent - but I think it is any relationship - both people are going to have to agree.
The Murano wasn't much of a compromise really for me.
Oh yeah, my wife is the primary driver of the Murano also ;) Funny, all our wives are the ones who drive them - and the majority of the people here are guys. |

I've experienced this article first hand.
My wife took over "my MO for the winter", even though we bought it because I fit so well into it.
Well I just couldn't handle driving "her mini van" anymore, so I went out & bought the Navigator (she likes them also).:D
It's a beast which can handle my 3 growing boys, my senior is 6'1" & taking after Dad (6'3" & a big boy), as well as bring the dog along.
I still love driving the MO  & am working on having my wife drive the Nav, but her under ground parking space at work has a killer poll by it.
But we can always trade rides on the weekends! ;) |

I would disagree that the Toyota Sequoia is a good car for women. I mean, sure it's big, safe, and reliable, but the thing is huge! If I had a nickel for every soccer mom I saw tooling around in something like a Sequoia, Suburban, or H2, completely unaware of how big those things are and how much energy they have going down the highway at 75mph, I'd be a millionaire.
Granted, not all women are this way, and there are plenty of guys who are the same way, but in general, something that big isn't the best thing for most people. |

| I'm not sure about how many actual women are on this site... but speaking on behalf of them, I could see why it the mo is so popular with women. Im not married so I chose this car for myself... and while handling was important to me... its not why I chose the MO... I chose it because its gorgeous- plain and simple! Everything else just sealed the deal ;) |

| Come to think of it, most of the Murano's I've seen being driven in town are driven by women. So I agree with the article. |

That why i try to minimize the time my wife gets to drive the MO.
I know it's a loosing battle, but the longer it takes for her to get hooked the longer i get to play :D |

Woman MO driver here. I like the look, but I especially love the handling of my 2003 SE. I actually wanted the FX but husband was put off by the radical styling -- he drives a classic VW convertible while I am a woman of the 21st century!:2: |

Hey grip, with the shades on, I can't tell, is that the Grippee?

Thanks gripper. I looked at your web page -- I am so impressed by your background (and can hardly decipher your mods) that I can't wait to hear why an engineer guy bought a Murano! I thought it looked modern and having lived in Europe liked the feel of the SE!
I don't hang out here much anymore -- found this site when the car was new -- loved the car from the test drive (5 hours including a trip to the nearest mountains) but was a little nervous about buying a first year model and a radical model at that, so I hung out here to read how happy my fellow owners are. After 22,000 trouble-free miles I'm not worried anymore. Wish I had bought the navigation and all other options as I plan to keep this car a long time. If only it had the body-fitting leather seats of the FX, it would be perfect.
My classic husband has really come to love the MO also and takes it whenever he goes any distance (if he can sneak away leaving me with his classic car loaded with 1950's technology). Once when I was out of town for a week, he drove it to work every day (usually takes public trans) and moved in all his cd's -- I said maybe it time for matching MO's, but he still enjoys having the only turquoise VW convert on the road. (My son says you have to allow extra time when you drive the VW because everybody wants to tell you their VW story, ie. "My boyfriend had one in college." "My first car was a VW." etc.)
When I saw the selection of the MO as a woman's car I knew you guys would be talking about it, so decided to check in. Man or woman -- how could anyone not love this car????

| One more comment from the female side -- although I am way past being a soccer mom, when I bought this car I honestly thought I was buying a typical soccer mom car but with cooler looks and better handling. I have been so suprised to find a bunch of men who are delighted to own this vehicle -- so delighted in fact that they make innumerable mods, and "talk" constantly about said vehicle. Because of this site I know more about this truck than about any other vehicle we have owned. I have to say I love you guys. |
