Quick question...where do you find the bolt to check the differential gear oil? Also, I have checked my cvt/tranny fluid with that long dip stick but where/how do you actually add more fluid if ever its low? Sorry have not had time to get the service manual yet.
Thanks all. |

Which diff? The front uses the tranny fluid, I don't think there is any seperate plug/sump at all. The three seperate drive line gear oil systems are the tranny & front diff, the transfer case, and the rear diff & AWD clutch pack.
As to how to fill it I don't know off the top my head, I'll check the manual tomorrow if somebody hasn't beaten me to it... |

I think you add tranny fluid through the dipstick tube.
As for the gear oil, there are two plugs - a drain plug (on the bottom) and a fill plug (farther up). The correct level for the gear oil is to the "top" of the fill plug (basically fill it until fluid spills out). |
