I just bought my 2003 Nissan Murano in January and in February the alternator failed. I had to pay out almost $1000 because I just went past my 36000 mile warranty. Luckly the new one came with a 12month 12000 mile warranty and it failed a month later. This sucks to pay for a nice car and have to deal with this crap only a month after buying it. I hope they do a recall on the alternators and I hope I get one that is good this time. I placed 2 reports with the Highway Department of Safety. They are investigating the problem.
