I know a dealer/installer that carries both 3M & VentureTape and we can do a Group Buy if you are interested. I went w/ the VentureTape because it had a longer warranty and in a head to head test outlasted the ...."other company's." A friend and I put it on and it wasn't that difficult. I just couldn't see paying 1/2 Grand for someone to apply it. It pretty much goes on like window film.

my bumpers came with clear film already on.
I just wish they would have done the leading high angle part of the hood, even if it wrapped all the way around to the end of the hood. That seems to be where I get most of the knicks from stones. The clear film also has cuts (two in a little over a year) from sharp stone edges, but not as obvious as the paint.
I followed the links and see varying thicknesses of film--from 6 up to 15 mils, 15 is what I would want on the front of the hood.
If they could only taper the parting edge so it wouldn't hold wax....
I still say we need to have several very thick clear coats sprayed on the front bumper/leading hood area. The parting line could be buffed out of the hood.

What I did was: Keyword: LIBERALLY
1) Wash Mo w/ Dawn
2) Clay Bar
3) Dried
4) Went over areas to be covered w/ Iso. alcohol (C3H8O)
( See Clay Bar Technique)
5) Spray bottle of few drops of Baby Shampoo & H20.
Use LIBERALLY over area film is to be placed.
6) Spray bottle of Iso. alc/H20 mix & LIBERALLY spray piece of film
to be placed. This activates the adhesive and ables you to
peel off backing.
7) While working/fitting the film on the car, keep LIBERALLY
spraying the 1st solution all over. NEVER allowing it to dry!
8) When film in place, start squeeging the air bubbles out.
9) Move on to next piece.
10) When finished, let dry and BABY hand wash & dry.
11) I used "Plexus" frm West Marine, & sprayed it on the film. It
acts like a sealer/protectant & use it each time after a bath.
I made a template of the A pillars, front portion of roof, around fuel fill area , rocker panels & door edges for a "Car Condom" by buying some extra film from him. As Homer can attest we live where "Luv Bugs" play!:cursin: |

| That's my him! That kit there is just the base kit, not the deluxe. See links previously posted for difference. He said that for a Group Buy he would discount the Deluxe Kit. |
