Ok, just wanted to share my two cents.
So like most of us, I tend to notice things on other cars as I'm driving around. And since I live in Texas, about 50% of the vehicles out here are trucks and SUV's. So what I want to know......???
Why hasn't anyone at GM realized that their daytime running lights stink!? About 25% of the GM trucks and SUV's (yes both Chevrolet and GMC) have one of their daytime running lights blown out.
I see it ALL the time! Tried to count each time I saw one on a trip to Houston last weekend but didn't have enough fingers to keep track. U'd think someone at GM would have noticed and they would get a better light! (No telling who the supplier is.)
Anyway, just glad I don't own a Tahoe like a couple of my brothers do. I'll make sure and let them know when one of their light has blown out! :2:

| i have a gmc sierra as my other ride. it's true that the daytime lights do burn out quit alot. it's because the current going to the DTRL's is the same as the current for the low beam lights which is obviously to much for the DTRL's to handle. it's just a stupid engenering error that gm made and don't feel like fixing it. i solved it by getting slighty higher wattage bulbs and it's been fine ever since. i've now upgraded them to amber bulbs which are much much more visable during the day. |
