I will be heading to te Seattle area with my Mo and tent trailer. Already have my stat park campground reservations, but IO am wondering about things to see and do while we are there. We have 4 days book between Tacoma and Seattle and the other 4 days down around Mt St. Helens.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated |

If you have a chance, go out to the Olympic Peninsula. Absolutely beautiful out there, great camping, beaches, scenic drives.
My favorite parts out there:
Just driving the 101
You can just drive out there forever. Drive the whole loop. It's long, and best to make 2 or 3 days out of it so you can stop along the way and check out sites, camp, relax, etc.
The Hoh Rain Forest
great little hikes from the visitor center, you can spend hours and never get bored
Neah Bay
The very north-west tip, it's way up high on a cliff looking out over the water. During the right time of year you can even see whales. Takes a while to get out there, though.
Hurricane Ridge
Up near the top, directly below Port Angeles. Wonderful views from the top of a mountain, several hikes of different lengths (really short to full day)
Here's a good map of the whole thing:

Of course, if the Peninsula is too far out of your way, there's always the Mt. Rainier national park which is much closer to St. Helens. Since you're not spending THAT much time over here, that might be a better bet.
Wanna see the sites in Seattle? The Space Needle is kind of obligatory. Not really THAT spectacular, to be honest, but you can't come here for a visit and not go up there, can you? :)
Pike Place Market is a must. Go on a weekend. More crowded, but a lot more fun with more booths set up and everything.
I've heard from several people (although I haven't done it yet myself in the 10 years I've been here) that the "Ride the Duck" tour is actually very good: http://www.ridetheducksofseattle.com
And there's the infamous "Experience Music Project" right by the Space Needle if you're into the music scene. I have to admit it's pretty cool, even though I hate Paul Allen and I think the building is incredible ugly: http://www.emplive.org/ |

Thanks for the info. Quick question, what would the driving time be from Tacoma to Port Angeles, sounds like a possible day trip for us. The Experiance Music Projet sounds interesting so we will probably check it out.
If you see a 03 Silver Mo with Alberta plates and a NAVY sticker in the upper right rear window gives us a honk. |

Well, going straight there would be about 2.5 hours:

If you wanted to make the long loop to there, you could go:
From Tacoma to Aberdeen (1hr, 54mins):

Then from Aberdeen to Forks (2hrs, 55mins):

Then from Forks to Port Angeles (1hr, 37mins):

By the way, if you have any problems with your MO while in the area, go to "Advantage Nissan" in Bremerton. Right between Port Angeles and Tacoma! :)
That was the dealership I bought my MO from, and they were GREAT! Completely different experience than most people on this forum have had with dealers. I haven't used their service shop yet, but if they're as considerate as their sales department was, they'll be great. |

If the shoe fits....
Call me paranoid but the alternator problem is the ONLY thing that has kept me from travelling with the MO. I love my MO, but I just don't trust the alternator.... |

Hope it holds! |
