My alternator was replaced this A.M. with part #2310M-CN10AR under the recall campaign.
I want to thank everyone whose hard work and perseverance has at least brought me some peace of mind.

| Cool, the local dealer told me that my 05 was not on the recall list. I hope they are being honest with me. |

| I'm scheduled to have mine replaced next Tuesday. I called the dealership and let them know that I will be taking two MI to IA trips in the next three weeks (2,400m total) and I would hate to be sitting on the side of the road. They bumped me to the top of the list. I've been really happy with Ann Arbor Nissan service. |

Yea !! My car is not on the list. My car must have been built the day they changed to the new alternator since my car was the 370th car built with the new alternator, ie VIN # ending with ...4866. |

So if my vin # is JN8AZ08W75w418650... my Mo is on the list, ah? Should I call my local Nissan to get the ball rolling on this, or wait to be contacted? |

Not the way I read it.
The way I read it is that all cars built after
404,496 are all ok.
Since your number is
418,650
You should be good to go.

Even if your car is listed per VIN number, they will physically check the serial number on your current alternator to see if it is on their replacement list.
At least that is what they did with mine.

| Is the alternator part number visible from above or below the engine without removing something ? |

From what I could see when the tech was checking the old Alt. part number, he may have removed a minor part. But he did look at the number from above with his flashlight.
