hey folks just switched out my stock hids with 10,000K temp HID bulbs.. more for cosmetics than any other reason.. i like it.. i tried to take some comparison pics for people who want to see the difference.. enjoy
left is oem right is 10,000k

| I agree with Kris and exakel. Might look more cool, but you give up one of HID's advantages: more light. |

4500K (OEM) and 6000K is the best spectrum as it is closest to daylight....
The bluish tint that you see in bmw and audi's xenon is not high K temperature bulb, it is the headlight projector lenses that plays with the beam optics of the 4500K bulbs.
If you are happy with your 10,000K bulb. I am happy for you
But i wont do it myself, just like ekaxel, eric L and Kris. |

| i do agree with everyone else and that there is less light output i knew this before i got the 10k but my night driving is almost next to none.. i did this only for cosmetics like i said in my original post.. this was just to show others who wanted to see how they looked if they wanted to upgrade as well.. i do have my stock bulbs if i did need to have them.. but i am happy.. thanks for everyone else explaining the goods and bads to all the other people.. everyone have a safe weekend |
