| Well I had another visit to the dealer. I have a short description: CRAP. They screw me on the time frame, so I made almost 3 hours late to the work. They should replace the alternator and they promised that on the phone, but when I got there they have zero in stock. The main reason why I went to dealer was the shaky driver seat. They replaced the seat motor assembly (I am not sure what is that, but that how it appears on the invoice) now the driver seat is in better shape than it was before, but it still moves on stop and go. I was disagree with the techs regarding seat so they will bring 2004 and 2005 Muranos and let me to try it and compared. Well, they all shake. I thought Nissan fixed this issue for 2005 models?? One more interesting fact, I had the problem starting the car yesterday. I started today and drove to the service department and shut it of on their parking lot. Haha, tech was unable to started back on, they have to jump started. Battery turns out to be bad and they replaced for the nice charge of $48. A visit to dealerships takes so much strength from me I would rather be working doubles on my job I hate. |

What is your definition of a shaky drivers seat. I don't have a problem with the drivers seat on my 2005 MO. |

| I had the dealer replace the seat lifter assembly too for my rocking chair seat. That fixed the rocking motion, but the plastic creaks a little since it appears they did not assemble the seat back togather that well. However the dozens of other rattles ultimately drowns out the seat rattle. I do have a strange lumbar support problem though. When stopping hard, I can feel it "tipping" forward and when the car finally stops, it seem so move backwards. A very odd feeling. Its the same feeling as if you had something behind the drivers seat and it leans against the seat during hard braking but when you accelerate it shifts backwards and no longer puts pressure on the drivers seatback. Anyone else feel this lumbar problem? I mentioned it to the dealer who were of course "unable to reproduce" it. |

I have some stuff I want to get done on my MO, and am considering taking it in to our new Nissan dealership. I figure since it's a brand new dealership, they might be in the frame of mind of being nice to their customers. I've already been in there to order oil/air filters and whatnot, and they gave me a pretty substantial discount just for being a new customer and coming in (and the fact that I was getting 8 oil filters). They seemed eager to please.
So, I'm planning to give them a call to install LoJack and attempt to fix the issue I'm having with the steering wheel channel lever not working.
Anyone want to start taking bets on whether I'll be happy or pissed when I get my MO back? |

Why did they charge you? I would think that since the alternator is bad, it resulted in the battery going belly up prematurely. |

You will be happy because the Nissan service will not be installing the LoJack. LoJack tech will. |

Well my alternator is ok for now (keeping my fingers crossed), the battery was dead. The irony of all this that last time I been there I ask technician specifically to check the battery and make sure that the water level is acceptable (I remember reading somebody’s post about the battery went dead on the first year or so because it was dry). He assures me that everything should be fine. Stupid liar. And they charge me because Nissan covers only 50% of the cost of the new battery. They selling it for $99, but it is nice maintains-free battery. |

| The loose seat and the crap the dealerships deal out sound the same. I bought a 96 Toyota Avalon and within the first week of driving felt the loose driver's seat. The customer service rep at the dealership I bought it - Bill Page Toyota in Annandale VA (don't ever buy a car from them) - told me that it was a good thing the seat was loose - that if the seat weren't loose it would snap in an accident but by being loose it would "flow" with the accident. I wrote Toyota, etc., had it repaired no less than 8 times at 4 different dealerships and it never was fixed. Bottom line is it was a design flaw that they finally admitted and happened with non-power seats. |

| I think Nissan service is delighful compared to the VW Touareg service I just came from. Actually the service wasn't as bad a the contant need for service. |

Want the ModMO perfectly up to date and Pinnacle Nissan, did the oil change EARLY at 2675mi, A second free AutoMate coating, 3 months early. Checked the computer for faults (none) Put the requested pressure in the tires and corellated the ModMo's readout to a precision hand gaguge, (I didn't even know your could do that), Typed nice inspection report, Good filter, etc.
TOTAL COST 0.00
Put them on the good guy list. They also Called me when it was ready 1 hour ahead f schedule, The Manager of Service handled me personally. With the car interior and exterrior and Glass spotless, everything really perfect.
Wonderful, what a few boxes of Good Hot Donuts and some time spend over the last months showing the techs what ModMo will do, They treat ModMo like they love it almost as much as I do.
I am sending a congrats and appreciation letter to the GM cc Service Dprartment. ( I am really a tough customer But when you performe I want to also.

I do not think I will get the batter service here even if I will bring a 40 feet truck full of donuts. :( |

| Hmmmmm I must agree/concur with Huskyfan, I too have not had any problems with my 05 MO either !! The only rattling I have had from my OM has been the sun visor rattle that so many of you have complained about...Other than that I have neither heard nor felt any other rattles so far(fingers crossed)..... |

My 05 is not experiencing this seat issue (yet). I'll have to keep an eye out for that.
As for service...when we had our Pathfinder, we always took it for service at a Infiniti dealership that was closer to our house. I never took it in for warranty work as it was already out of warranty. I'm not sure if they would have performed warranty work on a Nissan anyway (though its the same thing). But the experience at Infiniti was a lot better.
I'll give the local Nissan dealerships a chance on the first service/warranty work on the Mo'. We'll see how that goes. |

There is a TSB for that to be fixed. |

| Wow my driver seat is getting worth. Now it’s not only move and shakes more the original one (before repair) but it squeak and rattle, and making nasty noise during the normal driving. It drives me nuts. I almost break my seat off yesterday when I stop in the middle of the street and start pushing it back and forth to get reed of that nasty noise. I am ready to start shooting Nissan techs. :11: |
