I recently got a scratch on the rear bumper (lower left side) and was curious as to whether or not there is a clear bra material applied. It looks as if there is. I have the Langka kit but do not want ot start sanding if it is a plastic bra as this will most likely do more harm than good. Does anyone have any experience with scratch repair on the bumpers?

The rear bumper doesn't come from the factory with a clear bra installed. If you think you have this, maybe it was a dealer installed option.
I had my bumper scraped by a dealer when I brought it in for service. They tried to paint it, but I wasn't happy with the result. I made them replace the bumper, and give me back the original. I kept a large piece of it in case I ever wanted to practice touch-up painting. |
