Last night I was out at the boss's boss's boss's house to get his wife's laptop back online.....they had been AOL and were weaning themselves from it and it had hosed their email/connection.
When I tried to do some basic internet stuff it was very s l o w.
He got on the horn with Comcast and found out there was a system wide outage.
I got on the cell and asked my 12 year old to check toast.com for our speed---yep same thing.
Then after an hour it came up.
I checked the d/l speed at toast...HOLY SHEET BATMAN! 11 megs!
When I got home I checked my connection, yep, mine was 11 megs as well.
WOW
They must have been either replacing equipment or hooking up to a fatter pipe. |

this is screaming fast! I do not have cable so I went with BellSouth DSL. I am getting 1.6 MB. Could upgrade to double the speed but I do not think it is worth it.
But the Comcast is something! |

For speed like this the price is OK. I am paying appr.$40 for 1.5 MB. So you can see the ratio. Anyway I am OK with 1.5 MB. Quick enough for "regular stuff:'''''' |

Me too, but ohhhhhh da speed.
As a gamer it is nice to have so many low ping servers to choose from. I found a 12 last night! |

| Go to Toast select either text or an image to download. Select the host--preferably one close to you. Click Run Test. Wait. It will display your speed. |

| hmm strange, when i go either text or picture it's a 2.5 mb's but when it's a text and picture at the same time it's a 3.6 mb's. whoa so 11mb's would be like warp speed. that likes potential time travel man hahaha. |

4.0 MB on Toast Text/pix $40/mo.
From Titusville to Ft Myers.
Quite satisfactory.
