I just installed this billet grill in the bumper opening, hope it will protect the A/C condenser from stones and whatever.
The parking lights are super blue/white LEDs and then rewired
to act as daytime running lights. |

Beautiful!! The lower grill looks great; a helluva lot better than the unfinished, stock look.
Where did you get it? And what was involved with the install?

Purchased it from www.american-truck-auto.com talk to Charlie,
good guy to deal with. They also have the main grill but I sent it back,
"impossible to install" poor instructions, quality not very good.
The bumper insert is very easy to install, about a half hour.

The lower grill is very nice. I alway thought the billet upper grill looked good also. Is the lower grill better quality than the upper grill ?
The Bazarini grill shown elswhere in this forum probably would look nice with the lower billet grill. |

The manufacturer of both grills is T-Rex. The lower is of better quality
because the upper is much harder to manufacture. The upper had
craters and blistering in the powder coating, and the buffing process looked very bad.
My buddy and I could not get the grill to align with the factory mounting brackets and we are both very mechanically inclined.
T-Rex said it may take 3 men to force it into place. I don't force anything so I sent it back. I would not try to install one if they gave it to me free.
The lower bumper insert grill slipped right into place.

| i love the LED's i was sceptical about buying them for my lights because i thought that they would just shine in one little area and not light up the whole reflector but from seeing your pictures i guess i'm gonna have to change mine out. |

I've tried a number of size 194 LEDs the majority have one (1) LED
bulb and only project straight ahead and they do not have any reflectiveabilities.
Finally I found the 5LED 194 Matrix Super White bulb (that fits) at
autolumination.com
They have one central LED facing forward with 4 more at right angles.
They do look good and reflect well. |

Can you please post info on how to modify the wiring to get Day Time Running lights after the bulbs are changed ? I like it a lot. I may get the bumper insert too. Congrats, it looks great.

Unless you have a good understanding of basic electrical circuits and can read schematics and wiring diagrams I would not attempt converting the park lamps to DRL's if I were you.
If you do have these abilities you should get a Murano Service Manual.
You can get one at heatsinkninja.com on CD for $15.00
Nissan wants $300.00 for it.
Then you will have the info you need to do the conversion.
If you don't have those abilities, you're not far from me, take a ride
up to beautiful northern Michigan sometime and I'll help you install them

Thanks Jim. I can read schematics and wiring diagrams. If you can help with the specifics it would be great. I'll get the Service Manual anyway, thanks for the link. Where in Michigan are you ? We lived in Cadillac for 6 years. My wife worked at Hermann's European Cafe and I worked for a heat treating company that does not exist anymore now.

| ok, i wanna get the the LED matrix bulb for the brake and turn signal lights. should i get the super white bulbs or the red bulbs?? also, if i put led's into the turn signals in the rear , will they flash rapidly or normaly?? |

| I was never able to find led light for the tail that was a bright and provided wide angle illumination. Doesn't mean their is not one I tryied hard and failed. G. |

Hey Nissanlove,
I would like to try LED bulbs in the tail lights also. I noticed that we have the same MOs. How did you manage to install a remote starter with the inteligent key? |

| yes it does seem that way. the remote starter installs the same way as the normal key and fob would. only when i want to unlock all the doors with the car running from the outside(door handle button) i have to press it 3 times to unlock all doors. kinda weird but when the car isn't started with the remote it unlocks normaly. |
