Voiced warning messages - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hi,

My 2004 Mo is a Japanese domestic vehicle which has been imported to Sri Lanka.

The vehicle has features like Voice command, GPS, Carwings etc
The buttons on the center console are all in Japanese.

If you drive with a door not fully closed, as the low fuel warning comes on, if you drive with the parking brake depressed (slightly) etc, a voiced warning message is read out.... in Japanese !!
low fuel warning appears on screen also in Japanese.

I want to know how I can make this vehicle more English friendly.
What components do I need to change to make the warning messages be read in English and warnings on screen too, to be in English.

I do not need features like GPS and carwings. These features are of no use in Sri Lanka.

I am wondering if I can obtain a complete center console from a crashed American car and put it in. This will atleast get rid of those buttons with Japanese writing on them. Also get rid of the Carwings button.

For those who were wondering (I had to look it up), Carwings is BlueTooth.

I searched the forums for "carwings" and read the post tittled "japan Murano" and found that carwings is not simply blue tooth but something much more complicated.

Something about it being a live support system where you can talk to a Nissan operator through your mobile but you have to subscribe to the service.

I assume that this feature will only benefit Japanese users.
