Hello MO Fans One and All,

Before I extend my thanks to all the participants on this forum, let me just say "Wow! You guys are nuts!" I've been a member of the Jensen Healey Preservation Society for 7+ years (my other car) and thought those guys were dedicated. Now I have a totally new appreciation not only for a truly well-designed vehicle, but also for those who are so obviously passionate about being part of this unique club.

Just one week ago I bought a 2003 AWD SE, Pol. Pew., 30,000 miles with all the bells & whistles. This is my first non-German car in the 20+ years (as a daily driver, the English toy mentioned above doesn't quite count), not to mention my first SUV, and I have been totally impressed.

However, I must attribute a good deal of my satisfaction to this very forum. Just this past weekend I washed my air filter, lysol'd the HVAC system, conditioned the leather and improved the appearance of the vinyl trim, programmed our two key fobs to match my wife's and my seat memories, checked on open recall items (1-800-Nissan-1 records show that my 2003 does indeed need the gas tank shield) and got very interested in the cross-over capacitor upgrade for the tweeters. ALL because of your posts. As you can tell, I've been reading up on y'all. (I think I've drunk the punch!)

My sincere thanks to everyone on this forum who not only share a tremendous wealth of knowledge and experience, but do so with great kindness and respect for others. I look forward to contributing where I can. Here's to paying it forward . . .

Cheers!

Welcome to the board.

You have indeed purchased not only a beautiful car, but a very functional one too. Perhaps the only thing on this car that will not compete with a German built is the body noise and rattles. But there is good fix for that.....just crank the music volume up......:D
