I read all the posts about the doors making noises but has anyone experienced noises coming from the dash. My '06 which is only a week old started exhibiting these noises.

You are not alone.

I have identified several differnt squeeks from the dash area on my 04. One is up by the windshield somewhere and the other is the "pod" for the stereo and climate controls.

The are not nearly as annoying as the door rattle/squeeks.

So I assume, there isn't quick fix like putting foam or felt in some place. I agree it's not THAT annoying but sometimes, I like to drive with the radio off and hearing these noises is defintely not music to my ears.

I have an 03 that did have some squeaks on the dash.... on top and near the bottom. Look at my gallery. There you will see where I put foam or felt.

After foaming and felting the dash area, doors and cargo cover my MO is 100% rattle free now. (Except for the ocassional car seat in the MO and the kid in the seat.) :2:

One day I'll just lay some cascade sound deadening mats within the surroundings of my entire vehicle. Since I have a complete aftermarket custom audio system setup. This would not only help bass from vibrating my car but also probably reduce any other rattling objects sound. Downfall is it will add additional weight to my car.

Thanks Gonzo. I checked the space where the dash meets the windshield and it looks like Nissan already put a foam piece there.

I think I was able to to replicate the noise by pushing down on the space to the right of the left speaker and to the left of the right speaker. I don't know if anything can be done short of removing the whole thing.

Go ahead and try adding some more foam... in my MO is was to the left of the left dash speaker and right of the right dash speaker.

We must have had the same line worker that under tightned the steeer rack bolt on some of the MOs. :4:

I have some rattles in the front dash of my 06 also. I hate rattles. I also have a terrible rattle coming from the front passenger seatbelt, where it bolts to the floor in the back of the seat.

My big gripe is the vibration I feel when I hit 80-85MPH Took car in 2X now, one dealer said tires may be off balance, so they balanced them (barely off balance) and they changed the air pressure, helped a little.

Took to another dealer, with newer diagnostic stuff, stated all was balanced and in good shape.

So I am still having the rattle/shaking in the car. Im gonna make a try again and if no go Im going LEMON LAW!
Gonzo
Good luck sorry about the rattles. Are you sure it is not the seat belt buckel itself hitting something?

At any rate, I don't the a rattle will go far for a lemon law.

I would take your Mo to Goodyear dealer and have them look at the tires. Dealerships in my opinion do not have the proper equipment to diagnose tire problems. Let the tire experts do that.

The lemon law is not for the rattle, its for the shaking. Good idea, I am going to take it to the Goodyear dealer and see what they say. I was wondering if I could do that.
