Service Manager Training - Click HERE for Original Thread

Was suprised this past Monday when I took my Murano to our local Nisson dealership to find the local Chrysler Service manager as the new Nisson service manager. Anyone know if Nisson requires training of the service managers?

I'm sure they are trained in dealing with people and how to sell service, which are transferable between brands.

Halo
Heh, I'm not surprised. Rare is a service manager, or service tech for that matter, that is genuinely knowledgable about their job. It's just a 9-5 grind with a lunchbreak for the majority, I'm afraid.

Very rarely I'll meet someone on the consumer side of the automobile industry that is actually into cars (you know, subsrcibes to a bunch of car mags, spends some time behind the wheel at a track, wrenches at home on a project, etc).

I had a meeting today regarding a major contract. Somebody said: “it is sad, but today’s world infrastructure is built by lowest bidders”…..

We reflected on it and…………….moved on.

Sad, most of us are choosing the lowest price. It is in our blood. So get on with it and do not complain, lowest price does not mean QUALITY!

If you do not like it be prepared to pay more. And get QUALITY!
