Occasionally when I log in, the "new posts" link on the main page says that there are new posts (tonight: 96). But when I click on it it jumps to the "search results" page with an error saying "no results found". If I go back to the homepage, the "new posts" then reads 0.
WTF?
It's not like I sat there and waiting for a timeout or anything. It happens randomly, and in the last couple weeks it's happened about 4 or 5 times (I usually check the page about 2-3 times per day).
Anyone else noticing this? |

| I think I figured this out. I had installed the "Google Web Accelerator" and I think it was causing this problem. I added nissanmurano.org to the black-list of this program, and haven't had a problem since. |

| I've had the same thing happen 2 or 3 times over the past 2 weeks. I just figured it was a glitch in the matrix. |

| I'm pretty sure its your cookies. If you refresh the screen it will probably say 0. Try it next time. |

The new messages does reset to zero after a refresh, but my list of new messages will then be lost, and I'll have no idea which messages I have yet to read.
Not really a big deal, just thought I'd confirm Corin's report. :) |

Yeah, it does this to me as well Corin, and I have no accelleration stuff.
It's a glitch of some kind. |

| It happens to me too from time to time. No accelerator here either... |

Ha! I find it funny that my original post was up for 14 days with no responses, then when I post what I think the solution is, THAT's when I get all the replies... :p
Hmmmm.... Well, if I managed to scare the glitch away, so much the better for me! Hopefully it won't come back... |

I guess that the "glitch" must have happened to me when I was trying to see the new messages that day :) |

| I hadn't remembered seeing it previously. |

The problem with timeouts is the server
I experienced the timeout tonight and did a little investigations. Turns out it's not your PC most likely, it's the server that is hosting nissanmurano.org ....
What you can see from these two traceroutes is when the site goes down, I am only one hop from the server but it can't find it.
Plus the server would not ping, so it's sounds like the host provider reboots there box quite often....
NOT WORKING
WORKING

The dumb server will not even let me post images...... Maybe it knows I am talking about it...:11:
I'll edited the post in the morning inline the images then.... |

| Looks like you are 15 hops out to me. I am on comcast and it is 22 hops for me. They are having problems with an A record on a dead DNS server at the moment. |
