New wheel bearing didn't fix it! - Click HERE for Original Thread

My dealer installed my LF wheel bearing and my howling noise is
still alive and well. The tech claims he can't hear anything, so
I took another 05 for a ride and I'll be darned that I did hear a
similar noise like mine.

They are telling me now that it's probably normal "CVT noise".
Does a CVT make noise? I've tried coasting in neutral with engine
off and the noise is the same. Are the pulleys and belt still
moving when in neutral and engine off?

Thanks guys/gals for any input!

If it doesn't make the noise in neutral, its not the CVT.

Since you had the wheel bearing replaced, I would now think the noise is either tire related, or perhaps a bad axle.

Actually it DOES make the noise while coasting in neutral

You caught me - I meant does, not doesn't. :D

Whoa, that was just a double negative. :25:
