Hi guys,
wondering if i could just switch the head unit and it will work. here is the query. i have an 03' SL AWD, no nav or dvd system. my friend have an 06 SL , no nav, dvd, rear camera. since the 06 plays mp3 and not the 03, can i just switch the stereo unit, w/wout swich the monitor. would that be possible? is it even compatible? your thoughts into this matter is appreciated. |

| I compared the base units in the 03 and 06 SMs and it appears to me some of the connectors, pinouts, and cables have changed. More than just to the display control unit too. There's also a difference in the steering wheel control spiral cable connectors. So it doesn't appear to me that a direct swap will work. Maybe if you swapped a lot of things I don't know.
