Hi all
I have seen several threads here on different installs and configurations but I'm still confused...
I have an 03 SL with a Bose headunit. What I want to do is get Satellite installed, install an aux in and add a sub amp without having to replace the headunit. I would like to retain the functionality of the steering wheel controls AND the LCD screen. What products would I need for this? I've looked in to the PAC devices some but they seem to do one or the other, not both. I want an AUX in AND I want to be able to add an external amp and still be able to use satellite as well.
Am I SOL?
Thanks! |

Hmmm, I have an Alpine 360 watt 4 channel amp, aftermarket XM and a carputer all in my mo. The steering controls will work the volume but not control the XM, carputer, etc. I dont think your going to find that. The Pac unit allows for 2 inputs so you can get your XM and a second aux but thats it.
Hope this helps. :) |

I have the PAC OEM1 (I think) and the PAC Amp module in my 05 w/ Bose and I have full factory stereo functionality w/ aftermarket amps, speakers, subwoofer, satellite radio, mp3 player and inline analog equalizer.
My external satellite receiver and EQ both have pass-through inputs so I could put two ADDITIONAL audio devices in my setup if I had them.
I'm quite pleased w/ my setup even being almost forced to keep the factory radio because of the integrated design.
So yes, it's possible.
