DK,
I'm no marketing expert but.....
1. Photos would sure help.
2. SL Wheels, SE Wheels?
3. 4k on the tires on an 03? they must be replacements, if so, what are they?
4. By not even offering shipping you severely limit your buyer pool.
5. I would think that most of the people on this board already have Murano wheels, if you haven't done so already, perhaps post on the Altima/Maxima forums.
6. Craigs list is another great site to sell stuff like this locally.
7. Two Words: EEEE BAY
8. (I was just kidding before, I actually am a marketing expert)
Good Luck. |

Hey Mr. Marketing Expert,
1. I realize shipping limits the extent of my "audience" but the costs of shipping and packaging are not worth the effort unless the buyer wants to pay for those costs as well.
2. Yes, the tires are replacements, Goodyears, don't know the model but they were approx. $100/tire mounted and balanced.
3. I have also though of ebay but last I checked the sets of tires and wheels on there did not have any bids, so that tells me ebay's not that great a place for Murano wheels. Yes I listed on craig's list. I will also list on the altima/maxima website but didn't think these wheels would look good on those cars.
4. I do not have pics as the set is in MS and I am in GA. I also did not know there was a difference between the SL and SE wheels, for the record it is an SL (I just got my MO 2 months ago)
5. I was hoping a MO owner might have scuffed or rashed a rim and would like a couple of spares, if they don't sell I'll keep them in case I ever sell the MO.
6. Thanks for your marketing advice, I just assumed if anyone had questions they would have asked or pm'd me. |

| My last ride was a 2k Maxima, and Murano wheels actually look great on the car with the right tire, so give maxima.org, and altima.net a try, you might have good luck. Just my $0.02 |

Upon further research.....
1. For a private seller, you're overpriced.
2. What Goodyears did you get for $100? Since the factory GY's are about $150.
3. Everything can sell on Ebay (properly priced)
Murano Wheels 400 miles
4. You should probably have an idea of what you're trying to sell before you try and sell it.
5. Maybe sell them individually.
6. Sorry for trying to help.
Bigjohn seems to think those wheels would work on a car other than a Murano, but if you "don't think they'll look good" don't bother. |

| 3Putt, obviously with that name you need to worry more about your golf game then my wheels. I appreciate the "help" if that's what's you call it. I do sincerely appreciate the suggestion of altima and maxima websites, I didn't think MO wheels would look good on such a car but to each his own. As for the pricing, yes, everything on ebay will sell but that doesn't mean I want to take a beating on it either, my price is fair considering the range of prices I saw with the mileage and condition of my set and also factor in the cost of having the tires mounted and balanced having been done already. Also, look at the number of bids on most of the wheels on ebay for Muranos...slim to none that's why I like using this site, it's a bit more targeted, as a market expert you should understand that concept. Also as a market expert you should understand that selling a product at such a ridiculously low price does nothing but hurt the market overall as it decreases the value of similar products. If you really want to help buy my wheels/tires! |

BigJohn, my friend just bought an '03 Maxima, with the right tire would the MO wheels fit on his car? Any fitment issues you can think of?
BTW, 3Putt, the tires were $100 because the dealer I bought my MO from got a discount from the Tires Plus store next door as they are a big customer. I believe they were the LS's as there weren't any "cheap" brands available at the time. |

The 03 Maxima came standard with 17x7 wheels I think, so I don't think it would be an issue to fit 18x7.5 (Murano sized) wheels on it, provided you keep the tire circumference the same. |

Marketing 101: A fair price is the price negotiated between a willing buyer and a willing seller.
You can ask for any price *you* wish.
Getting that price is another issue entirely.
Do you think that a buyer will just jump on your deal?
Or do you think, just perhaps, they might shop around?
(Trust me, anything over $100, people shop)
If your not competitive in your pricing, you'd better be lucky.
If your Craigslist ad looks anything like the ad you posted here, you may want to do some editing. Keep the details in mind when posting on the Altima/Maxima sites.
Believe it or not, I was/am trying to help you.
Look at it this way, if I hadn't responded, you'd still be bumping this thread. |

| True 3Putt I'd still be bumping this thread and being in the chemical industry I am fully aware of how to sell products. But our debate on marketing skills is best done in another forum. I do appreciate the help but if someone were truly interested in my wheels they would have asked questions already or at least given me a low ball offer without even seeing pics or knowing what kind of tires were on the wheels. |

Well let's see, cheapest wheels on ebay I saw when I first made the post went for $250 then mount 4 tires at $150 per tire + ~$20 mount/balance comes to ~$930 so I'm sorry for all you guys who want to get a really nice set of rims/tires for <$500, like I said if you REALLY were interested you would have made a lowball offer and started the haggling process...obviously you didn't so just how interested were you?
Big John, those pics look awesome! especially the 5th gen, I'll see if my buddy wants the wheels, obviously I'm not going to sell them to a MO owner on here :) |
