When playing a disk of MP3s on 2006 Mo the info screen indicates a "root folder". The problem that I have is when I place 200-300 files on one CD it is a major pain to flip through each one to get to song say, 149. So questions:
1. Is it possible to divide the CD into "folders" so I can flip through with the Category switch?
2. If so - what software can do this? If not, any way to get around flippin' through so many songs?
Another minor problem.. the software I use (Record Now - was provided by Dell on my laptop) seems to randomize tracks which is a pain when one thinks they know what song will play next. No easily identifiable feature in the software to change this. Ideas anyone? |

Yep, you sure can. In fact, the only time you'll see "Root Folder" is if you don't have subfolders on the CD. I have my MP3 files sorted into subfolders by artist and, if applicable, album title. I just drag the folders over to the recordable CD and burn the CD. I use Roxio, but others use Nero. |

| Ah! Suddenly I see the clouds parting and the sun shining from the heavens!! :D Thanks!!!! I will give that a shot with my software. Worst case I have to buy new software but it's worth it to avoid the daily "flippin". |
