Good deal.
Answer me this.
I don't need the thing (because I had the Invisible bra folks fab me a transparent guard in 03 - still no damage) but I am curious.
Everybody takes the "clips" off?
What are they and why are they on there in the first place if everybody is going to take them off.
A few pictures by the many folks who have done this would have been appropriate.

the 2006 rear bumper guards are made only for the 06 model. meaning the guard actually is bolted on to the top of the rear bumper.
in order for the 06 ( which i like better because it is aluminum) to fit on previous models the way this guard is manufactured, the rear bumper needs to be removed and you need to drill holes in bumper to bolt the guard on.
this is why i blow torched these biatches and installed with the 3M double-sided tape...this guard is firmly secure, and will not come off. ever since i saw this guard i thought it was an aesthetic piece my 04 was missing- as was my Misfits sticker on rear window!

Very nice add-on. Great tip for those who have an oops, oh damn.
Hope I never need it for that reason but if I do, I'll know what to do. Thanks for the photos.

Just installed the metal bumper protector for my 05 SL AWD. It looks awsome and the installation took 15 min. I got it of the ebay. Here's the link for those who's interested. I'll post pictures later.
