Looking for a Murano Grille - Click HERE for Original Thread
TheGymKid
Anyone replace their OEM grillE with a new one, such as the Z... and have the OEM to get rid of? I"m thinking I want to experiment with and paint mine, but would rather do it to an extra in case it doesn't work out.

Thanks

As a point of reference, World Parts Express sell the 2005 MO grille for $131.93.

WOW... I didn't realize the going price.

Actually, I'm looking for an extra grille that I can, ummm, play around with and test painting. So I don't really want to spend alot of money. I would be willing to take a scratched up \ damaged one even. (I definately would pay fo the shipping if I can't drive to pick it up).

Maybe Megadiver doesn't need the damaged one on his Murano anylonger?

My final goal is to try and paint it to match my Nerf and push bar. I don't know how it would look and I hate to ruin my good one.

Seeing that you live in New Jersey, I suggest checking the salvage yards. As you know the NY/NJ metropolitan area is one of the most densely populated areas in the US, so the number of MOs in the region is proportionally high. Combine that with the fact that the roads also have a proportional number of lunatics, there should be quite a few "retired" MOs in the salvage yards.

Happy hunting.

What are you trying to say? That my state is overpopulated? We get in alot of accidents and total our cars alot? That we are bad drivers? huh huh.... o by the way, great idea checking the yards... i'm sure there are alot of banged up Mo's around since NJ has crazy drivers that are always crushing their cars into other cars. :D

GymKid,

If you have no luck at your local salvage yard, you may want to try this free service.....

Junkyard Dog Search

It searches a database of over 5,000 junkyards. The yards will then Email you with the results. They know they are blindly competing for your business so prices tend to be better.

I used it to get a starter for the old Camry.

The service and the starter worked great.

By the way, I shot a 90 two weeks ago, which is great for me... i normally get between 96 (best) and 103.

Gymster,

If you don't have one already, setup "another" Email account. I use Yahoo.

Anyway, if I remember correctly, you click through and define your car specs, then list the part description or name, then submit.

Depending on the availability of the part, you'll get between 1 & 4,000 responses via Email.

Call or Email a few (I like the phone) and cut the best deal.

It sure beats calling local yards blindly, especially with a car as obscure as ours.

RE: Golf score......GREAT SHOOTING! 1 less putt and your in the 80's! Once there, you'll never look back! (except every other round)

This afternoon, in my League, I play for the lead spot in my flight.

If I win my matches today, next week and "at the outing" I could be League Champ (chump?).

Since I am also the treasurer, this years League Champ envelope could be HUGE!:2:
