| what do you realistically expect to gain from this mod? Do you have a minimum change in mind and if it does not meet that it gets returned? |

| Thats a long tube. Where will the filter end up being mounted? Engine bay or wheel well? The most effective CAI's I've seen with the long tubing mount in the wheel well (requires cutting a hole) between the vehicle body and the plastic splash shield. Its a hassle to install. If its the engine bay type, you'll probably get more noise than horsepower. Not that its a bad thing - I felt the VQ in the MO is much too quiet compared to the VQ in my Maxima. |

So after reading everyone's opinions on whether the injen CAI is worth the money and people's views on the JW pop charger, I decided to fork over the 300 bucks and get the Injen. Here are pics of it installed. This thing makes my Murano sound beautiful and I personally think it's worth every penny. My fuel mileage (which I personally think sucked before i had the CAI installed (it was around 15.5 mpg, i think it's low because i live in nyc)) dropped a negligible .2 mpg to about 15.2.... I definitely feel a power difference and I know that although it may have only added 5hp, i personally believe that it is an addition of more like 10-15 hp. At higher speeds of about 40 mph i notice the acceleration difference but i don't think that it has that noticeable of a power boost when you accelerate from a standstill. I love it and I recommend it to anyone who is interested in purchasing it... I called injen and they say that for anyone who has a 2005-2007 MO (mine is a 07) to get the powerflow with the part number that begins with PF not the RD or whatever it is for the 2003-2004's.... the PF1994 works with all MO's after 04...
The way injen designed it puts the filter right next to? or in the wheel well... so it seems like it would be extremely difficult for water to get to it and the part that isn't visible in the picture goes down about a foot so it's about fender level (behind the fender). I love it.. |

verse214, can you get a video clip up so I can hear the actual sound of the injen on your murano SE. I ordered one awhile back but actually cancelled it due to being confused with the part numbering and year model as advertised. Where did you ordered yours from? Can that injen version convert to short ram? Is this the one you have installed in your Murano SE?

Verse. I am curious what the end of the CAI looks like and where it sits in the engine bay. Can you post more pics?
Thx |

I think there is a difference between the injen power flow and the tru flow? The power flow is what Verse got and probably what I'm thinking is that at the end there is a filter cone attached. The true flow injen version is the one I posted with the picture as the end point have a filter box.
