does anybody know how much it is to replace the circuit board under the bose HU , and if so where to get one ? i'm gonna try a MOD and if it doesn't work my old board will probally be screwed ( the board with AC / and info buttons on it as well as radio buttons ) What im gonna try to do is take the knobs for temp control off original board as well as any other buttons needed and put them on another board and extend the wires from the original board and solder them to new board gonna give it a shot , but my main question is how much for a new board and were to get one

I would ask your dealership for the part number. If they don't sell that particular part, your next choice might be an ebay auction for the entire unit.

could this possably work by extending the controls to a new board ???

So you want to move the climate controls to another location? I'm not sure why you would need another control board for that. Why not fashion yourself some sort of extender for the board connector?

is it possible to extend the controlls to another board or is it a waste of time

Still don't know what you trying to do. Are you trying to extend the wires leading to the circuit board? I'd say if you kept the connector intact, sure it would plug right into a new board.

i am trying to keep the originall controls in the same place just relocate the main board and extend the controlls to a partial board so i can make enough room to put in a aftermarket HU to sum it up i'm tryin to eliminate the radio function of the board

Oooh I see. Well then all bets are the window because I'm not sure that has been done before. If you look in the back of the board and see an area where there are no circuit connections across the entire length of the board, then i'd say its ok to cut it in half there, but my guess would be no, and that the entire board has to be intact in order for it to function.

sorry tryin to explain this the best i know how , i'm gonna relocate the original circuit board then i'm gonna make 2 new boards one for climate controlls and one for trip etc... i'm gonna take the controlls off the origanal board move to new ones and extend wires from original board to new boards opening up the space origanally occupied by originall board therefore hopefully being able to install an aftermarket HU in the dash hope this better explains it

the entire board will be intact just hidden away with wires to extend to controls on the new boards leaving enogh space for a new radio , think this could work ???

Sounds like it would work, but no one has done this yet from what I know. I'll have a look in the FSM to see if it has any more details. Update soon.

HEre is what I could find in the FSM. It looks like since the connector is on a solid unit that also has the slots for CD and tape, it will be pretty difficult to remove that section and only keep the AC and display controls.

Hello My installer has already found a way to be able to install a double din into a murano without navi. He has sodered every button and extended the cables. We have tried it out and it works. I am in the process of finding a way to be able to connected, which I would need to have a custom faceplate. I will post pics!!!
