Bluetooth Car Kit - Click HERE for Original Thread

I started shopping around for a bluetooth car kit and it seems like in order to install one you need to change electrical wiring in your car. Do you know any other decent products that do not require complicated installations? Thanks

I made a nice, easy handsfree solution for my '06 MO earlier this year.

Bought a Nokia Car Kit, Model CK-7W. Works great, but not with my Nokia phone (believe it or not). Works extremely well with my Motorola RAZR V3m from Verizon Wireless. Bought the CK-7W from Logjam Electronics for about $129.99. List price at the time was $179.99.

I understand that Motorola has some very good handsfree car kits.

Search the forum for handsfree or bluetooth, and you'll see lots of postings, including some with GPS.

Let us know what you find out or if you need any additional suggestions. This will help all of us.

Good Luck!

try this. it requires no installation and plugs right in the cigarette adapter. it lets you make and receive calls with bluetooth through your car speakers (via FM transmission):

Promate

it also allows you to stream music to the speakers with any phone that supports A2DP

I have found in the past that things like I pod's don't sound very good via FM link to radio.

Does anyone have hands on experience with this system?

You are correct. iPods generally don't sound very clear with FM transmitters.

There are many current threads on this subject. Just do a search on iPod and look at posts over the past few months, and I think you'll find a good solution.

There are OEM direct connect solutions as well as a number of after market solutions.

I personally use a Pacific Audio unit (www.pac-audio.com) and a Proclip mount (www.proclipusa.com) for the Murano. This way I have full access to the iPod scroll wheel and clear high quality audio with volume controllable from the steering wheel controls. You may also need a Blitzsafe or similar unit to charge the iPod. In my case, I bought the equipment from Logjam Electronics. This was about 5-6 months ago.

Also, for current information, you might want to check out this link on the Apple web site:

Feel free to send me an email.

Good Luck!
