They also say the same thing about Fords http://www.5starshine.com/ford.html , Toyotas http://www.5starshine.com/toyota.html , Lexus http://www.5starshine.com/lexus.html , and a host of others.

It is nothing more than an advertising gimmick.

They are right about one thing when they state - "we all know what happens when wax gets hot - it melts!" Just ask GripperDon, he has first hand experience. :2:

Many years ago (maybe 15) I used a PTFE Teflon product called "Pro-Polish" that I bought from Costco (called Price Club back then) and it was a fantastic product. Can't say its *better* than any of the premium waxes available today, but I'd have to say that it went on smooth and wiped off very easy.

Have you ever tried this....

After applying wax (by hand or using a buffer) sprinkle a small amount of corn starch over the area using a shaker can. Then buff off. You will be amazed at how smooth and streak free the results will be.

If your wax job has streaks or isn't smooth, you really shouldn't be waxing your car, have someone else do it.

I know starch is a good glass water beader, sorta like rainX. I had aquaintences who said to cut a potato in half and rub it on your glass, wait till it dries, then buff. I haven't tried it though....

RainX is great until you get road spray, then it kinda glues road oil to the glass. At the 24 hours of Daytona a race team I was helping tried rainX, man did that driver get mad. Nothing worse than not being able to see while going 100+mph in the rain.
