| Many years ago (maybe 15) I used a PTFE Teflon product called "Pro-Polish" that I bought from Costco (called Price Club back then) and it was a fantastic product. Can't say its *better* than any of the premium waxes available today, but I'd have to say that it went on smooth and wiped off very easy. |

Have you ever tried this....
After applying wax (by hand or using a buffer) sprinkle a small amount of corn starch over the area using a shaker can. Then buff off. You will be amazed at how smooth and streak free the results will be. |

If your wax job has streaks or isn't smooth, you really shouldn't be waxing your car, have someone else do it.
I know starch is a good glass water beader, sorta like rainX. I had aquaintences who said to cut a potato in half and rub it on your glass, wait till it dries, then buff. I haven't tried it though....
RainX is great until you get road spray, then it kinda glues road oil to the glass. At the 24 hours of Daytona a race team I was helping tried rainX, man did that driver get mad. Nothing worse than not being able to see while going 100+mph in the rain. |
