Murano knocking, hesitating - Click HERE for Original Thread

In the last few hundred miles my 2005 Murano has begun knocking and also it now severely hesitates when accelerating from a stop. Also it idles roughly. The problem seemed to begin after I bought gas. Is it possible that the problems are related to the gasoline I bought? The car has 29,000 miles on it and I have never had a problem with it in the past. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like water in the gas.
Rare, but it happens.
Two ways to approach the problem
1- the best way s to take it to a shop and have them drain and dispose of the gas.
2- buy some "dry gas" (Alcohol) and pour into the tank. If there is not TOO much water this might take care of it.
Of course, it could be something completely different.......

My suggestion, bring it to the dealer and have them look at it. This should be easy especially if it is reproducable.

Thanks for the responses. I am on the road on business right now in a very rural area and wont be near a dealer before Friday. Thus I was hoping someone might be able to give me an idea of what might be happening. Thanks for any ideas.

branch76-
You should be able to pick up a can of dry-gas at most gas stations and even some convenience stores. Just be careful to not spill any dry-gas on the car's finish.
If the dry-gas does not solve your problem then I would definitely see the dealer at your earliest convenience.
