I have a "due bill" for some repair work on my new Murano. Specifically I have a slight scratch on my front Bumper and a "stain" on my hood. The stain is probably from some bird but it is prominent and on the hood. I have the Merlot and it appears as a dark blotch.
My problem is I don't get a good vibe from the body shop guys. They act like the "buffing" is really serious and could result in a re'-paint. I am wondering if I should just live with the scratch and the stain or go ahead and pay a real body shop to buff out the stuff. |

I certainly wouldn't live with it. I would want it repaired to my satisfaction.
If you have any doubts about the body shop, then by all means make them known to the dealer - beforehand. Let them know that you want the damage listed on the "due bill" repaired so the car looks brand-new, and if they are not confident they can do a satisfactory job then you expect them to pay a reputable body shop to do the work.
