| when you turn on the AC with re circulated air it has an odder to it, could the cabin air filter need changed? any one have any suggestions? |

If it has been over a year since you last replaced the filter, then you should consider replacing it regardless of any odors.
The HVAC system is configured in such a way that the air is routed through the filter in both FRESH and RECIRCULATE modes. In your case I doubt it is the filter because you claim you only get the smell when the system is set to recirculate. My guess is mold and/or mildew in the section of plenum used for recirculate only.
Nissan now sells a cabin filter that contain activated charcoal to remove odors. If the odor-causing section of plenum is upstream of the filter then the activated charcoal may absorb the odors. If it is downstream it will not have any effect.
