| If there is anybody out there that can help me it would be appreciated , i have an '03 MO with about 50k miles on it here is my problem , I just had 3 amps put in for a new stereo , now it seems like it doesn't drive the same i was thinkin it might be that i need a more powerfull alternator is it possible that all the extra stuff i have in my MO would effect the trans ( cvt ) the reason i think this is before amps i couldn't feel gears or simulated gears shift up or down , still can't really feel it when i accelerate but when i slow down right before i stop i really feel a down shift almost like engine braking what could this be from . Also i am only gettin between 16 - 17 mpg is this normal , before the amps i was gettin 17 - 18 mpg one more thing what rpm should the MO be idleing at cause mine idles at right at or a hair above the first line above 0 ( maybe 4 or 5 hundred rpm's ) PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!!! |

As I understand it, yes, absolutely.
According to my dealer, the problem with the CVT's in earlier MO's was directly attributable to the faulty/underpowered alternators.
Since I am new to the board, and to the MO, I'm sure there are others with more and better info, but I trust the info I got from my dealer. |

| Can you make the problem go away if you turn off the amps? If so, then I would think the amps are overloading the electric system. |
