Some are I suppose.
But the one Deeto put up was by Roy Wood, and he is the guy that actually makes the phone calls and then sells the Prank to radio stations all over the place. The one Deeto posted identifies himself as Roy Wood at 104.7 KISS in Phoenix and sure enough they are listed as an affiliate on his web site.

As to "most" of this stuff being fake (As postulated by somebody who deleted theie message) don't go near Tulsa or Dallas in the morning and put on some AM radio.....two towns that I KNOW do stuff like this for real.

2.) RADIO STATIONS STEAL MATERIAL-. In the world of morning radio it is often common place for a show to steal a prank phone calls from another show and present it as their own. It's actually an accepted practice in the world of radio...not in the world of comedy. And I'm a comedian, not a DJ. I wouldn't have a problem with this if they gave me credit for doing the prank but most shows don't. They'll even edit out the backend of the prank where I say my name. I understand this is a risk I incur by making my pranks available to the public but I'm not about to give a morning show 4 new pranks a week to choose from. I'll give them 4 a month. So by the time they air them they'll be well forwarded around the internet. This way if they DO present it as their own, the credibility of the show is then brought into question by the listeners.
I offer my prank phone calls not on my website to Morning Shows across the nation on a pay basis and it's not fair to them that another morning show can come on here and get the pranks as well. The pranks are copyrighted so it's only a matter of time before I my lawyers are on them for unauthorized re-broadcasting or some other media law crap that I don't know much about. Maybe I can go get pre-paid legal and sue them for $25 bucks a month.
I thoroughly encourage ANYONE who hears my pranks airing in a market without proper credit to politely call the morning show and tell them I said thank you.

look him up on Wikipedia. Just the description is fun.
There used to be a free clip of Mr Mercer running around the internet. I think is was "how big a boy are you?
Anyway, Brent Douglas (Roy Mercer) really does do these calls in Tulsa.
