Is the installation really easy?
I was wondering if anyone have pictures of where to detach the old original tube and replace it with the z-tube..
a little guidance will be great!
btw, Is it neccessary to reset my ECU by unplugging my negative terminal and re-plugging it? |

| No it's not necessary to reset your ECU, it will learn as you drive it. Installation of pop charger is very easy, Z-tube should be pretty easy too (and doing both at the same time will make it quicker). |

i just have to un screw that metal ring on the oem and take off the plugs right?
then on with the z-tube and re-attach the plugs on the z-tube?'
i borrowed this picture from enforcer and circled around the part that the z-tube replaces and im sure i just need to loosen the metal ring holding it together and I can take it off: |

im curious what that big block is for? where as teh z-tube is just a tube.

| another question is, does the z-tube actually helps with the performance? or is it there just to give it that louder, meaner sound? |

| It's supposed to allow smoother airflow than the "dryer hose" that's there, but you won't notice the difference. We're talking about a couple of percent difference. |

It appears to be a "pcv valve". It's labeled in the service manual as "intake air duct". The pcv hose plugs into it. |

you mean that little black tube connects directly into the bulk "intake air duct" That I know the little black tube will be plugged directly into the z-tube. correct me if i'm wrong

| yeah the little black tube will have to be replaced because it's not long enough to reach the z-tube adapter. the tube and filter will mostly give you a super growl and maybe at most 5 hp, nothing to noticable though. the big block is a resonator, it makes the intake noise really quite. it's what keeps the VQ hushed. |

| oh ok great.. that cheap piece of tube will be purchased while i swing by a auto shop.. right before i go install it myself so I don't have to run to a shop with that tube lol |

| Where did you purchase the z-tube and pop charger? Ive been searching old posts for a site, but the only one i could find that referenced JWT was closed down. Any assistance is appreciated =) |
