Keep in mind the Super-MO is a concept car. It's a one-of-a-kind vehicle that is not slated for production.
It would be nice to have a 345 horsepower MO. Even nicer would be to have a CVT and transfer case that could handle the additional 100 horsepower over the long haul.

Also, if both drivers are equal, the S2000 would kill the Murano GTC.

I do not think so. Yes, it would be faster around the corners on a twisty road but kill? ;)
Honestly, the comparison between these two cars is just plain stupid...they are designed to do different things......and they do it quite well..... |

How about the straightaway? Can the GTC do a sub six second 0-60?
Hmmnnn lesseee. faster in the curves.........
Faster on the straight.............
Ya know you are not talking a Miarta here ......which would kill the Murano if the course was tight enough.
Hell my little BMW 2.8 liter will kill a stock murano........

Homer,
you know I was kidding.....I was referring to word "kill" just for fun...;)
Friend of mine has a S2000. 240HP or something like that in a lightweight body.....it GOES!
Murano is a cruiser, even the GTC one.
S2000 is a sports car...and it shows....
it ain't Ferrari nor Porsche but it does go! No questions! |

Hey guys, not to change the subject, but.... I saw a bright red, two seat, convertible sports car in a parking lot today and had no clue what it was. I was looking down from a third-floor window and saw this sexy car with all the right curves and shapes, and just had to go out and take a look. I was floored to learn it was a.... SATURN!! A bright red Saturn Sky. I was shocked, to say the least. I have no idea how it rides or performs, but it sure looked good sitting still.

Joe,
it will probably drive well. I saw a few times Pontiac Solstice and I have to say I do like it. Now that they are offering 2.0L Turbo EcotecŪ DOHC Variable Valve Timing, 4-cylinder, aluminum (260 HP @ 5300 rpm, 260 lb-ft @ 2500 - 5250 rpm) it could be a winner!
Just hope Pontiac got the quality right....otherwise nice car. I would not mind having it as a weekender...
Oh, and Homer, this one would definitely "kill" the Murano....:D |

| i've recentyl sat in a pretty basic solstice. it's basic to say the least. lots of hard platics and the cloth seats were kind of crappy but man did the cockpit ever hug me well. i think the saturn sky is a much better and more attractive alternative |

I just noticed these postings. We drove a friend's yellow S2000 a few months ago on a twisty road. Was lots of fun for 10 minutes! :D However, my 6ft. 3" body started to feel pain and cramps then. My wife also felt crammed in. Something about tightly packed sardines? :)
Reminds me of some of the great motorcycles of the 1980's that were built for small rice burning folks. :D I ended up buying another later generation BMW K bike and modifying it for performance and handling. My last motorcycle was an 03 Yamaha FZ-1. Still not quite the cockpit roominess of Beemers. But...killer performance.
Hope the next generation Suby wrx/sti's will be roomy up front, have a six speed tranny and be available in a wagon. Alot of us (who need 4 wd) are waiting impatiently for Suby to get it's act together and match Toyota and Honda's quality and service reputation. Darrell.
PS. This site is the standard by which all car sites should be judged. Lots of intelligent, thoughtful folks who offer good feedback. :) |
