the sour grapes.
Both Michigan and Ohio, who proved they were about equal, couldn't equal USC and Florida.
What does that say about the Big 10?
Other than Wisconsin, did the Big 10 beat an SEC team?
I don't think so.
I don't think either could have taken LSU either.
Now Boise State vs Ohio? That might have been a good match. Closer anyway.
Go Gators!
Spotted them 7 points, and then whupped them! :2:
Just plain whupped them. :1:
Oh well, let's hear the excuses. ;)
We had one guy hurt......we hadn't played in a very long time......The refs were biased.......we weren't as good........
(Oh, I put that last one in there. :D )
God, that felt good!

Florida played a great game. Florida #1, Boise State #2, USC #3.
Florida and Boise State have similar colors and both played with a lot of emotion. Boise State is undefeated so maybe they will finish high in the final polls. |

Sorry guys, what are you talking about?
What are all these acronyms? :8:

Kris,
Most are acronyms for colleges and universities (ex. USC University of Southern California) and I'm guessing "BSME U of F 58"
means, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida, 1958.

As much as you gotta love the Cinderella story of Boise State going undeafeated and beating OKLA with 3 incredible/gutsy plays, I dont understand where all the hype is coming from where everyone feels they should have a shot at the National Championship.
Yes they were undefeated and yes the have a good team and a great Coach. But would they have gone undefeated going through PAC-10, SEC, or Big 10? Probably not.
Like I said, Boise State was a good team and fun to watch. But the way college football is set up you must have minimum 2-3 excellent seasons in a row to even be considered to make the top 1-2 seeds. |
