This thing has gotten worse over the past month. Slow to load, Slow to load, slow to load.
hfelknor
Brought that up a few days ago.
Several chimed in.
But mods didn't think it should go to admin?
Or admin can't do anything?

It is debilitating.
I consider the forum entertainment and try to give more than I receive, but I am not going to wait all day long to get in.

Seems OK right now.

Ditto.

Access to the site is definitely slower than normal. I have no trouble logging on, however the page-refresh is definitely slower than before. The pop-up screen for the spell-check is painfully slow. (Some of you you guys might not have noticed that particular aspect, as evidenced by the spelling in your posts. :p )

From what I can tell, the problem started around the first of the year.

Don-

Does ADMIN check in on a regular basis? If not, do you know if the moderators can contact him? Either way, ADMIN needs to do something. Site performance has been less than stellar since around the first of the year.

I'll send a message to admin.

To be honest, I have not noticed any difference in performance on the site as of late. Same speed for me, but I link directly to the forum and not the front page.

Hey guys, I'm here. I haven't noticed anything myself. However, I did stop a service that I haven't been using yet on the server, see if that makes a difference.

Also, if you do encounter "slowness", compare it to another site on our network, say http://www.acuramdx.org. That will tell me if it's a server or just the site.

admin.
GripperDon
it is not up to debate. Will check you other site for you.

It is expecting a bit much to take time out of a busy schedule to test another site. If you would like that done suggest you pre sign us so we can get in easily.
admin
No need to sign up. And please, don't worry about checking the other sites, if it's too much to ask that is.

I have not noticed any problems with this website here is Seattle. Comcast seemed to be slow the other day on all websites, but everything is fine now. Could it be your local provider is having difficulties?
hfelknor
Not very likely.
1- all other sites are fine
2- I don't have the same provider as Don.

Seems to be better today?

What ever happened it seems to be working OK now.....
GripperDon
All other sites including auto forums were Ok. The problem is sometimes not there and sometimes it is. I think it must be the server the site is on maybe even the HD of this particular site. For example if you click New Posts the screen blanks and then just hangs for minutes on end. Something like a over saturated usage resulting in a DOS.
