Anyone know the dimensions of the Murano's trunk... or do i need to go out in the cold, with snow on the ground, to measure her up?
Armoire is 42" wide 21" depth 72" hieght |

It will fit.
You will have to leave the hatch open for the haul.
I hauled a full size video game in mine. Worked like a charm.
Don't forget lots of blankets for padding. |

Thanks, and great idea with the blankets. How did you tie the hatch down... there is no hooks. I hooked a bungee to my license plate the last time. |

Six feet tall will fit, but not at 40" wide. The curved shape of the rear hatch lets you put 6 foot long items in the middle, but not to the sides. I fit a six foot tall bookshelf, but it was in pieces so no piece was wider than 2-1/2 feet even though it was 6 foot long. I believe the MAXIMUM length of a flat object that will fit in the back is 74" but it cannot be more than say, a foot wide, since the curved rear hatch pushes in about 6" to the sides.
You can try to move the front seats as forward as you can handle, but shelf will still rest on the top of the middle armrest. |

Fit great, it was 72" long, and the Muarno floor was about 75" long. But with the rounded trunk I couldn't shut her... so I put BLANKETS on the top and pull it shut with the bungee cord, when I got home, I it unlock which released the bungee cord. It worked perfect, thanks for all the advice, huge help to me.
So as i'm driving with my trunk bungee down on the New Jersey Turnpike yesterday.... anyone who lives around here knows it was pretty windy. As I got to some high points on small bridges... the wind picked up even higher and it was getting caught under the hood... and started to whip me around the highway. it was crazy. I slowed down alot... but when i looked in the rear view mirror... my trunk was bending up and down on the right and left side (the bungee was in the middle.) I really thought the wind was going to ripe the bungee cord off and the trunk was going to fly up and break off. it was crazy... but only last about 30 sec's twice on the 2 different bridges. what an experience.
Also, I bought that Amiore on craigslist for $275. Pretty dam good deal since all the stores I was going to wanted a $1000.00 or more for them. :D |
