iPod integration? - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hi all! Well it finally is a 2007 SL MO that I picked to replace my stolen '04.

Now, the PAC is out and now replaced by a new device with better sound and enabling the iPod to be controlled by the head unit controls and to be viewed in the color display!?! COOL!

I am on nissanipod.com now and I don't fully understand what kit I need. I want to be able to install my iPod in the glove compartment and I certainly do have a SAT harness (but no SAT tuner) installed. Is the kit different if I decide to later install a XM tuner in the MO? Please help!

I got my ipod kit from the same place for my 2006 Murano. I found the contact person to be very helpful - I'd suggest just sending him an email and asking him what you need.

For my 06 with the OEM Sirius installed, I had to buy an extra cable. One cable ran from the trunk area to the glove box, and the other from the glove box back to the trunk. The install was very easy to do, and took me about 2 hours.

Looks like they don't ship across the border anymore. You seem to be on the same side of the border than me... Here is the answer from the website supplied contact: "I am sorry, we only ship and sell within the United States."

Ok, let's go for plan "B":

Would this be the same thing available on eBay?

That's weird - I ordered mine from them at the end of October 2006, and they shipped it to me in Canada. I wonder why they stopped?

That one on ebay looks like it has the same functionality as the Nissan one, but it isn't the same one that you would get from the US.

Here is an old thread on the product - not too much info, but a bit:

A couple of options for you if you want to get the actual Nissan one. You can have it shipped somewhere in the US just across the boarder from you. I just had this done today - I get all my Nissan parts from the US. They get shipped to "the UPS Store" in North Dakota that is about a 3 hour drive from where I live. Once they arrive, I drive down and pick them up. Much cheaper than dealing with my local dealer. Second option is to try and find someone on the forum from the US who can order one for you, and mail it to you once they get it. I have done the reverse before - I ordered a Canadian hood deflector for someone in the US and mailed it out to them.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Jason.

What I found out after reading a hundred posts or so on the subject is that the kit for the MO is similar to that of the Titan and Armada. Go wonder why, it looks everywhere like the MO and iPod can't be happy together according to all the websites that I visited last night for a few hours in the US. All the models are covered except the MO.

I can't say that I failed once to find something that I was looking for on the Internet, but this one was hard to order because there are so many parts and none clearly identified, something as simple as:

Nissan Murano '06 '07 SL, no SAT radio installed: Order the following parts: 999U7-VR002, 999U7-VS000
If you later decide to install the SAT radio, you also need: 999U7-VS001

I finally found here the solution and a friendly shop with no problem shipping the gizmos to me:

eBay what would we do without you!

I'm glad to hear that you got it sorted out. the kit I purchased from that place in the US that no longer ships to us Canadians was a kit for the Titan. The cables that came with that kit wern't long enough for the Murano, so the shop extended them and sold them as "custom cables".

Good luck with the install! I must say that I've been very happy with my ipod integration kit - much better than having to swap CDs out all the time!
