Add input and output to OEM - Click HERE for Original Thread

I just purchased a 2003 Murano SL AWD. It has the simple orange lcd screen, so no navigation. The factory head unit has the 6-disc changer and tape. I want to add an ipod, an amp, and a subwoofer to the factory system with more upgrades down the road. My question is how do I get inputs (for the ipod), and outputs (for the amp)???

I've read about the PAC AOEM-NIS2 for getting clean outputs to my amp.

I've read about the PAC AAI-NIS2 for getting a couple of inputs to the factory head unit.

Questions:
1) Do I need to buy both of these?
2) Will they work together?
3) Is there something better?

Let me know if you have any other suggestions on how I should hook things up.

Thanks everybody! :D

To save time:
1. Yes
2. Yes
3. PAC has great reputation. Do a search and you will find possibly other manufacturer for amp. OEM Ipod for Titan/xterra? has worked for others as well.

Good Luck.

Mike,

I just completed a sub & amp install, (see my post) I have both the PAC AOEM-NIS2 and PAC AAI-NIS chained together. The AAI was installed first to enable factory head unit SAT button selection for Harmon Kardon Drive + play iPod device. Then AOEM just added to provide RCA connectors for aftermarket amp install. Both are working beautifully together.

Good luck and have fun with your upgrade.

You'd better believe it Grip. And I have you to thank for that tip. :7:
