My factory cd-changer was messing up on me so the Dealership replaced it under warranty. I had the 6 Disc Bose changer with NO tape player. When they replaced my stereo they installed a Bose 6 Disc changer WITH a tape player.
I may be crazy but I think the sound quality has dropped. Mainly the bass. Is there something different with the two head units? Should I demand the original style be put back in the car?

I doubt your dealer will be able to get the older-style head unit.
Have you checked the sub-woofer to ensure it is working?
